SMART PILLBOX: The First LoRaWAN Pillbox

At Aritium, we continue to innovate in order to improve healthcare and people's quality of life. Today, we are proud to introduce our first hardware development in collaboration with IDONIAL: The Smart Pillbox. It is the world's first pillbox connected via LoRaWAN® technology, marking a breakthrough in home care for the elderly.

With an industrial design tailored to the needs of elderly users, we have developed with IDONIAL, a leading technology center in advanced manufacturing and materials development, the first LoRaWAN smart pillbox. This represents a turning point in home healthcare by facilitating medication intake monitoring and control, improving adherence to pharmacological treatment, and offering mayor greater peace of mind to family members and caregivers.

HOW IT WORKS

1. The patient places their medication in the Smart Pillbox.
2. Each time the pillbox is opened, the device sends a signal to our AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) platform, Aritium Platform, where the data is processed in real time.
3. If no opening is detected within the preset period of time, a notification is sent to caregivers or family members.
