MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

At Aritium, we want to wish you a wonderful holiday season. But, before we dive into the festivities, let’s take a quick look back at 2024, such an incredible year for us. 🙌 Although we have had to work hard (and deal with some headaches ), it has been a year full of challenges successfully overcome, achievements reached (we still proudly remember the EmprendeXXI Award) and great steps in our path towards a more efficient, sustainable and high-quality healthcare. But this is just the beginning! In 2025, we look forward to continuing this upward trend and sharing with you some of the thrilling projects we’re cooking up.👨‍🍳   And now, let’s dive into the highlights of this year! From international events to regional awards and new solutions... we continue to grow in our commitment to healthcare innovation. Let’s get started!

EXPANDING HORIZONS From September 23 to October 4, our co-founders Ángel Colao and Andrés Esteban took part in the Desafía Nórdicos digital health program, organized by ICEX. This immersion program allowed them to explore the healthcare ecosystems of Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. 🌍 During their time there, Ángel and Andrés gained deeper insight into the healthcare systems of the Nordic countries, presented our company and showcased our different advanced solutions, and established strategic connections with key organizations and potential local partners. Undoubtedly, an essential step in our international expansion. 🚀 Many thanks to all the people from the Spanish startups that accompanied us during this exciting trip, as well as to all the organizations that made this enriching program possible for all of us (ICEX, Red.es, Nordic Healthcare Group and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Denmark). INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE 2024 has been a milestone in our mission to transform the healthcare sector. At Aritium, we’ve developed 14 new solutions within the  Smart Healthcare Ecosystem, our flexible and scalable ecosystem that integrates IoT (Internet of Things) and Artificial Intelligence to turn traditional healthcare into a more efficient, sustainable, and patient-centered system. ⭐ You can learn more about the impact of the Smart Healthcare Ecosystem and our vision on our new website, launched last summer. Visit us at  aritium.com! 💻 Among our innovative solutions, we’d like to highlight OR-Control, a solution designed for the comprehensive optimization of operating rooms. This system automates the control of indoor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity or differential pressure, ventilation systems, occupation, or doors status. In this way, OR-Control allows healthcare organizations to improve energy efficiency, sustainability and safety of these critical spaces, keeping them in perfect condition whether or not they are in use. Finally, we are currently in the final stages of developing a cutting-edge medical product for the healthcare sector and elderly care. This innovative IoT device, which will be released soon, will mark a turning point in our journey. We can’t wait to share more details with you!

Awards A 2024 FULL OF RECOGNITION

2024 has been an exceptional year for Aritium, marked by awards and recognition that have solidified our position as one of the most outstanding startups in Asturias, Spain We kicked off the year by winning the EmprendeXXI Awards in Asturias, being recognized as the most innovative technology-based company in the region. Link We were also honored as the Innovative Partner in the SME category at the Innovasturias 2024, for our proposal “Innovation in Healthcare through the Smart Healthcare Ecosystem.” And in the final months of the year, the recognition didn’t stop coming! 👇

2 Winners of the ScaleUp Award at the IPfest 2024 Awards thanks to our ability to scale our business model and foster knowledge transfer in collaboration with research groups.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who makes these achievements possible: juries, collaborators, customers, and our amazing team. These recognitions give us a significant boost to continue innovating and growing in our mission to transform the way hospitals and healthcare organizations operate worldwide. 🏥

Events EVENTOS DESTACADOS DE 2024

2024 has been a year full of opportunities for us to share our vision and demonstrate the impact of our solutions. First, we had the privilege of attending several international events:

1 4YFN Mobile World Congress We started the year as usual, participating in 4YFN at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where we connected with healthcare and technology companies and professionals interested in our IoT and AI-based solutions.

2 HLTH Europe. Ámsterdam At HLTH Europe in Amsterdam, we further explored the European eHealth ecosystem and networked with international organizations and companies specialized in healthcare innovation.

3 LoRaWAN Live: Munich We also participated in LoRaWAN Live: Munich, where we presented with Viamed Salud how our solutions have transformed all their hospitals into Smart Hospitals, making them the first hospital group in the world to implement LoRaWAN networks in all their centers. 🥇 Link

Secondly, our co-founder, Sandra González, stood out as a speaker at several key meetings, reflecting our commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship in Asturias.

1 TEDxGijón At the 7th edition of TEDxGijón, Sandra gave an inspiring presentation on how IoT initiatives like ours are revolutionizing healthcare, creating much more efficient healthcare systems.

2 GEM Asturias 2023-2024 During the presentation of the GEM Asturias 2023-2024 Report by the Chair of Entrepreneurship, she shared her experience as an entrepreneur in the health sector, motivating future entrepreneurs to turn their innovative ideas into reality in Asturias, a region that greatly needs the entrepreneurial spirit of its people.

Finally, to close the year, we participated in major regional events:

1 Asturias Data Center At the Asturias Data Center, organized by Cluster TIC Asturias, we showcased an interactive demo of our advanced solutions within the Smart Healthcare Ecosystem and some of the cutting-edge IoT devices we implement.

2 AVANZA_en cuidados At the "AVANZA_en cuidados", event, organized by ASATA and Gijón Impulsa as part of the "Gijón: The Silver Sunset" project, our colleagues Miguel Vázquez and Diego Cantera presented our Extended Home Monitoring solution, designed to revolutionize elderly care through continuous monitoring of daily activity, environmental conditions, and vital signs, as well as low-consumption, long-lasting, and user-friendly wireless technology, ideal for individuals with limited tech knowledge.

MORE AND MORE PEOPLE TRUST ARITIUM While we closed 2023 with more than 50 deployments... today we already have over 80 deployments across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Norway! Additionally, across all the hospitals, health centers, and residences where we've deployed our solutions, there are now over 7,000 IoT devices connected to our platform Aritium Platform, processing more than 1,000,000 messages daily. This represents a growth of over 40% compared to the number of connected devices we had in December 2023. An incredible increase in just 12 months, positioning us as one of the leading startups in healthcare technology. Let’s keep up this trend! 📈  In 2024, we’ve consolidated projects and increased the number of clients and strategic partners in the healthcare sector. All thanks to the fact that more and more organizations trust us to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of their facilities, resources, and operations. For this reason, we’ve decided to take it a step further and open our doors to new sectors. Follow us on our social media profiles as we’ll be sharing exciting updates very soon. At Aritium, we’re going to kick off 2025 in style!  🚀   AN EXTRAORDINARY TEAM! As expected, we continue to bring talent into the team… and we’re now 11 people working at Aritium! With a highly skilled technical team that we’ve continued to strengthen with IoT experts and system administrators, in 2024 we’ve focused on boosting our advanced analytics department, with the aim of taking artificial intelligence to the next level. 📊 Moreover, this year has also allowed us to take a much-needed step forward in improving our internal processes, with the addition of an accounting and administrative profile. Thanks to this close-knit and committed team, we continue to innovate and develop advanced solutions that transform efficiency and healthcare in hospitals and healthcare centers.
