December 6th, 2021 (Asturias – SPAIN) – Aritium is pleased to announce they are now a member of the LoRa Alliance®.
The LoRa Alliance® is the fastest growing technology alliance. A non-profit association, it has become one of the largest alliances in the technology sector, committed to enabling largescale deployment of Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) IoT through the development and promotion of the LoRaWAN® open standard.
Aritium is a startup founded in 2021 with the ambition of creating a better world by leveraging technology. This ambition is materialized by the development and deployment of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) solutions trying to target specific use cases and needs of their customers and with a special focus on the healthcare sector.
To achieve these objectives Aritium is convinced that the openness and flexibility of the LoRaWAN standard provides a unique value proposition for any IoT deployment, but it is even more important in “Smart Hospital” applications where security and robustness are key elements.
“For Aritium, the real potential of IoT is only going to be achieved if we are able to combine it with AI” said Angel Colao, Chief Executive Office of Aritium. “Nevertheless, the first step is to be able to deploy IoT solutions at scale and to achieve that, LoRaWAN provides the most powerful framework of the industry, combining flexibility, security and reliability. We are convinced that LoRaWAN has the potential to become the technology that can makes the Internet of Medical Things a reality”..
“It is very exciting to see startups like Aritium leveraging and pushing LoRaWAN as the key standard for their IoT deployments” said Donna Moore, CEO and Chairwoman of the LoRa Alliance. “I look forward to Aritium’s contributions to the Alliance with its expertise on using LoRaWAN in healthcare and hospital environment”.
